	Launch of My French Film Festival 2017 13 January to February 13 2017 at MyFrenchFilmFestival.com

The Embassy of France in India and Innovation & Multimedia sector of the Institut français India are happy to announce the launch of the 7th edition of the innovative and creative My French Film Festival.

With more than 6.5 million screenings last year across 206 territories, MyFrenchFilmFestival is a unique online festival of French films featuring an exciting selection of 30 feature films and short films this year. The 7th edition will take place from January 13 to February 13, 2017.

MyFrenchFilmFestival is the first entirely dematerialised French film festival: it takes place all across the world at the same time, and is the world’s first Online Film Festival. Geared towards Internet users worldwide and available for one month, it features a selection of 10 shorts and 10 feature films in competition. The vibrancy and exuberance of new-generation French cinema lend the festival its signature style.

The upcoming edition will also include 3 feature films, including the classic comedy-drama Cleo From 5 To 7 (1962) and 5 short films out of competition. This year MyFrenchFilmFestival also commemorates legendary French actress, Françoise Dorléac, who died in tragic circumstances fifty years ago, in a special tribute in 4XD - Françoise Dorléac, a segment that has never previously been released from a short film commissioned by UniFrance in 1964.

All films are subtitled in 10 different languages. Featuring comedies, thrillers, action movies, romances, dramas, this festival honours the diversity of French cinema, offering worldwide visibility to the selected films. In India the festival is entirely free of charge. In addition to the MyFrenchFilmFestival.com platform, 35 platforms will relay the festival worldwide.

Starting 13 January 2017 at 9 p.m. Paris time/ 14 January at 1:30 a.m. in India, audiences will have the opportunity to discover new films, watch them, rate them, comment on them, and share them. And like in previous years, viewers can vote for their favorite film.

From Saturday 14 January 2017, viewers can also win a trip for two to Paris via the MyFrenchFilmFestival Facebook app.
