MEDIA INVITE

November 22
4.00pm
Painting, Mood Swings and My Journey
Exhibition and Talk by Seher Hashmi
at Café de Art, G 14 , Marina Arcade,
Outer Circle, Connaught Place

Dealing with an internal turmoil that was occupying her young mind and heart Seher started painting. For a long time it was just a diversion but over the last year with determination to fight depression, assisted by psychiatrists, therapists, counselors and her family, painting became a serious engagement for Seher. Painting has a soothing effect on her nerves and has helped her heal and overcome a difficult phase. Seher Hashmi, 21 yrs, does not have any formal training in art; she loves to play with color, draw abstract figures and trees and has started expressing herself artistically.  Seher also writes poetry, which she rarely shares with anyone.

Seher Hashmi is displaying her paintings and would be talking about her journey and how painting helped her overcome depression on November 22 at 4pm at Café de Art, G 14 , Marina Arcade, Outer Circle,  in Connaught Place.

Dr. Rajiv Mehta MD - Psychiatry, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital would be speaking at the event.
We request you to cover it so that many others who are reluctant to access professional help might be encouraged to seek it and fight the inhibitions.

Sincerely
