We take immense pleasure in informing you that ASSOCHAM jointly in association with the High Commission of New Zealand and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) is organizing a Business Seminar in honour of visiting dignitary, H. E. Mr. John Key, Prime Minister of New Zealand on 25th October, 2016 at 9:00 A.M. at the BSE International Convention Hall, PJ Towers, Dalal Street, Mumbai. The visiting Prime Minister will be accompanied by senior officials, a large media contingent and significant delegation comprising of senior business leaders.
Both India & New Zealand share common interest in the prosperity and stability of the Asia-Pacific region and actively participate in the East Asia Summit and the Asia Regional Forum. India is involved as a dialogue partner in the Pacific Islands Forum. As per some estimates the bi-lateral trade between the two countries is expected to double by 2020. New Zealand is India’s second largest trade partner in Oceania region and accounted for 6.03% of our overall trade with Oceania region in 2015-16. In the last one decade or so there have been some remarkable developments in bilateral relation, as the security interests of the two nations have converged, volume of trade has increased.
Governments of India and New Zealand are attaching great importance to this visit reflecting significance they attach to India-New Zealand relationship. The business meeting with them is going to provide a unique opportunity to top Indian CEOs for fruitful business interaction.
